In preparation for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Registration and to reduce/eliminate technical and logistical issues faced by candidates, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has informed prospective candidates that they can begin to generate their profile codes now and save such for use when registration commences.
JAMB has announced that the 2023 UTME Registration will commence by January 14th to end February 14th 2023 while the Direct Entry Registrtion will take place between February 20th and April 20th 2023. It is therefore important to note that generatio of profile codes is crucial and fundamental to the registration.
HOW TO GENERATE JAMB PROFILE CODE
Interested candidates can follow the steps below to generate their profile codes:
- Every candidate MUST have registered for NIN and have the 11 digit NIN number. The NN will be used to generate the profile codes. Candidates who are yet to have their NIN are advised to visit any accredited NIMC office to register.
- Each candidate would require unique phone number that has not been used for registration before by any other person. One phone number to one person. If you do not have a unique phone number, proceed to buy and register a new SIM for yourself.
- Each candidate is expected to send their NIN as SMS to either of 55019 or 66019 using their uique phone number. the SMS is to be sent in this format: NIN (one space) YOUR 11 DIGIT NIN (one space) to 55019 or 66019. For example, NIN 12345678900
- Once the mesaage is sent, you will receive a mesaage with your profile code. Note that you will be charged 50 Naira for the service, thus, ensure that you have enough airtime on your phone.
