ASUU STRIKE: ASUU Threatens To Sanction Non-Complying Member Universities

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to sanction some of its institutional members (Universities) who have withdrawn from the ongoing industrial strike action it embarked on 14th February 2022, while negotiations with the Federal Government continue.

The strike action is exactly 4 months today, however, a few ASUU members, mostly state-owned universities have pulled out of the strike to resume their academic activities.

ASUU President, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, issued the warning during an interview on Monday, June 13, in Abuja. He stated that the union will punish those who have pulled out from the ongoing strike the appropriate way.
